What is Fitness Revolution Semi-Private Personal Training and Why Is It Different?

It's an awesome alternative to working out in a small group setting (2-5 people), with planned exercises, activities and nutrition and health tips. It's more personalized then bootcamp training so you get more individual attention and you get to your goals quicker. It's cheaper then one on one personal training but you get equal if not greater attention from your trainer.

We guide you from step one to step finish and beyond. We figure out your goals with an initial assessment. We make sure it's the right fit for you with an initial assessment. We make sure you are moving how you are supposed to be moving with the Functional Movement Screen. We test your flexibility and fix it if it needs fixed. We guide you by the hand to fix your nutrition. We implement a workout program second to none that gets results fast!

Our semi-private training is different because of the equipment that we incorporate. Kettlebells, sandbags, flexbands, resistance bands, medicine balls, Lebert Equalizers, punching bags, sledge hammers, and bodyweight are just some of the unique training equipment. Those are some of the most effective equipment in the fitness industry. Combined with exercises and activities made to challenge the whole body at once these small group training sessions will quickly get you to reach your fitness goals. Even if you've never used equipment like ours, the learning curve is quick, the instruction is great, and the benefits last a lifetime. It also makes the training interesting and never boring- most would even say fun :-)

You will not do any steady pace running/jogging in our training sessions. This is an inefficient way to burn fat and get in shape. Running is also has the highest incidence of injury for a recreational sport in America. We prefer to have our small group clients stay healthy and burn the most fat possible!

And everybody can do it! We are based off of timed sets. Can't go the entire time? Just do what you can for the day. Day by day you will eventually be able to do the full time, and you're on your way to looking better naked :)

How does the 2-week trial process work?

Fitness Revolution Small Group Personal Training is an invite-only membership program. We use the 2-week tryout to assess if our program is the right long-term fit for each trial member. You will receive an invitation and it is up to you to decide which package you want to go with based on your goals, schedule and budget.

Trials are only offered within the first 3 weeks of each phase of boot camp out of fairness to current members. You may start your trial anytime within the first 3-weeks of the current phase. All trial members for the small group personal trainers must complete and submit an initial Yun Strength and Fitness Systems sign-up/waiver form prior to the outlined registration deadline before each phase of small group training.

 

How do I get invited to join the program?

During the two-week trial, we expect each trial member to attend at least 4 out of the 6 available workouts, or 3 out 4 if coming 2x a week. This shows us that you are serious about getting results. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis if the on-site trainer is provided with advanced notice of an impending scheduling conflict.

However, attendance alone does not guarantee an invite to our program. We want to see that you are having fun and are bringing positive energy to the group. Complainers and whiners are NOT welcome!

Bottom line- if you make as many workouts as you can, work hard, and bring a positive mental attitude, you will put yourself in the best position to gain admittance to our program. The majority of trial members will receive a special envelope after their first workout.

Note: If you have received a specific membership giveaway through a charity event or some other special promotion, the invite process will not apply until the end of this extended trial. Please make sure to hand in your special trial card with your initial registration form prior to your first class.

 

How does nutrition factor into the program?

It factors in very much. With our Bootcamp members we stress the importance. With our Semi-Private training clients it is mandatory to change your nutritional habits for the fastest success.

We will sit down with you for your goal assessment and provide recomendations on what needs to be implemented, changed, added, subtracted, etc..... from your current nutrition program. Then it's up to you to implement those recommendations, but we will hold you accountable to do so.

Our goal is not to overwhelm, but rather to ease you into adopting healthier dietary habits for long-term success. All trial members will receive a complimentary nutrition quick-start plan that will provide basic introductory nutrition guidelines to get the ball rolling in the right direction.

At the end of the tryout period, all new paying members will be eligible to receive The Carb Rotation Diet from Registered Dietician Jayson Hunter consisting of monthly updated done-for-you belly fat-burning meal plans.

We also will be offering an online Nutrition Lifestyle Metabolism Makeover program in the Spring of 2012 for members who wish to take their nutrition to a whole another level.

 

How much does the program cost?

Fitness Revolution Semi-Private Personal Training is a monthly membership program. Members are required to commit to either a month-to-month, 3-month, 6-month or 12-month billing agreement at a membership level that best caters to their schedule and budget as outlined below. Please note the big savings on our Semi-Private package offerings that are provided to members who sign-up for either a 3-month, 6-month, or a 12-month billing agreement. There are also other member benefits in conjunction with each package.

What about adding other classes from Yun Strength and Fitness Systems, LLC?

If you want to add Yun Fitness Bootcamps to your package it will be an extra $49 a month. This will give you unlimited access to any Bootcamp class time and location

If you want to add our specialty classes (held on Saturdays and during the off-week) it will be an extra $20 a month. This includes Advanced Abs & A$$, Kettlebell Khaos, YunFit, TRX-X-Plosion, etc....

What is the Look Better Naked Online Fitness Bootcamp?

This is our online version of Yun Fitness Bootcamps. This is automatically added to your program. The cost is $5.95 a month.

Through this program you will be able to complete workouts at home. Update your food log and exercise log for greater compliance and motivation. Extra workouts through this program are not required but we will recommend them especially after the first month of your training and depending on the frequency you are working out with us.

 

How long is it?

Our Fitness Revolution Semi-Private program operates on a Phase schedule. We offer 10 phases of training classes per year, each lasting 4 weeks in length with 1 week transition period in between throughout the year. So 4 weeks on and 1 week off. The exception is the last Phase due to the Holiday Season. The last phase is 1 week on, 1 week off, and 3-4 weeks on, 2 weeks off. During your off-weeks you will be provided with workouts you can do in your home along with interval workout tracks.

Each individual training session is scheduled for 45 minutes in length. Your first couple sessions will be 60 minutes to demonstrate the tissue quality, flexibility, and warm-up routine to you. This routine is critical to your ultimate success, we will explain why in your initial assessment and orientation. Accompying videos will also be shared with you.

 

What do I bring to class?

Each client is expected to bring the following items to each workout:

- A water bottle or approved workout drink with shaker bottle (we have options available at our Hilliard location)
- A wipe down towel
- Your own exercise mat (Thicker the better)
- An equipment bag to hold all of the aforementioned items (optional)
-Any homework we assign to you. Yes we do give you homework, but this homework will actually improve your life!
-Your Workout and Food Binder. This will be mandatory for at least the first month of training if not more.
-A positive and ready-to-work you! Leave any negativity at the door!

 

Do you offer childcare?

No. But we do allow you to bring your child to the training sessions. You will be able to view your child the entire time. An additional waiver form is needed but there is no extra cost for this service.

 

What kind of exercises will I be doing?

Calisthenics, core training, strength and endurance training, interval work, medicine ball training, obstacle courses, team games, kettlebell training, surprises, bodyweight training, and much more!

 

 

What if I can't do an exercise?

If you can't do an exercise due to previous injury, pain, discomfort, or simply aren't able to perform it (yet), then a substitute will be given for you. Yun's 3rd law of Semi-Private Training 'For every exercise there is an equal and opposite substitute.' (I just thought of that.)

This will also be addressed in your initial assessment.

 

Are there any discounts?

Yes. If you are a student there is a 20% off discount.

If you are an employee of Fire/Police/EMS/Military or an immediate family member there is a 20% off discount.

There is a 15% discount if you sign up with a buddy. This can include friends, family, spouse, significant other, or co-worker.

There is also a 50% off referral bonus. If you are a current camper and refer someone who isn't in camp but becomes a member you will receive 50% off the next session. There is no cap to this, refer 4 people and get the next 2 Phase FREE!

 

What do I wear to class?

You should wear comfortable, breathable clothing. Please make sure to wear clothing that is not too big- we need to see your body move at different joint positions during the workout so we can best assess your form and technique and make the necessary corrections.

In addition, please wear shoes that are designated for athletic purposes- often referred to as running, cross-training, basketball, or tennis shoes. Some common brands are Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Brooks, Asics, etc. Please feel free to ask your on-site trainer for his/her recommendations for proper footwear for kettlebell workouts.

The best shoes to wear for indoor training is none. Barefoot is the best!

 

What if I would like to track my progress in terms of body fat % and body measurements?

We offer a body fat assessment. We will perform this assessment for free once a month if desired. Normally this is a $25 fee. We use the Complete Ultrasound Body Composition Analysis from IntelaMetrix. It uses ultrasound to get a reading on your bodyfat levels, and is much more accurate than calipers.
